If you have identified that you are being bullied at work, you have just taken your first step in the right direction. In order to cope with feelings of being victimized you need to first accept the fact you are being bullied. This is no easy feat, so well done, read on to find out what to do next

One option would be to resign and find a better job with an amicable working environment. While this seems scary you will be able to find a job in which you thrive, enjoy and are appreciated. It can be hard to let go and fear of the unknown will take over, but taking the leap of faith will pay off and your quality of life will drastically improve. Take it as a sign from the universe that its time to find a more rewarding job; especially since you will spend many hours with the same people.

Let’s compare this horrific job to being in a destructive relationship. If you were being made to feel like rubbish constantly by your partner, you would not stick around would you? It’s the same with a job. Do not stick around because you are scared you will never find another job. Of course you will. You got this job therefore, you will get another one. It is best to rip the Band-Aid off quickly rather than letting the pain last and linger until you develop some type of illness from holding in your feelings too long.

Remember you and your health is the most important thing. If you think you will be less stressed, out of work than in it – then its time to resign. Rent and bills are a factor in this decision.  This is why you must plan your getaway by job hunting, putting away a few dollars and have the support of family or friends while you job hunt?
