Megyn Kelly Decides To Settle For More

Megyn Kelly

She has a million-dollar smile, stylish wardrobe and best of all incredibly smart.

Megyn Kelly is a former defense attorney and host of The Kelly File on Fox News. Her memoir, Settle for More, raises Ms. Kelly to a feminist hero we can all relate to.

Who can forget Megyn Kelly’s interview with now President Elect Donald Trump. She asked then, “Shouldn’t we be concerned that the Republican nominee for president is disrespectful of women…and accused of being a sexual predator?”

According to her book, Mr. Trump did not take kindly to Ms. Kelly questions and he retaliated in creepy, personal ways.

The Fox News anchor was born in Syracuse, New York. She obtained an undergraduate degree in political science from Syracuse University in 1992 and J.D. from Albany Law School in 1995.

In 2003, Ms. Kelly moved to Washington, D.C. and worked as an assignment reporter for an ABC affiliate. She covered national and local events, including the 2004 presidential election. Afterwards, she applied for a job at Fox News.

In 2010, Ms. Kelly began hosting her own two-hour afternoon show, America Live. She received media attention for her coverage of the 2012 presidential election. In 2013, she began hosting a new nightly program, The Kelly File.

Megyn KellyHer new memoir, Settle for More, chronicles her 12-year career journey, including her alleged harassment at the hands of Fox chairman Roger Ailes and her infamous feud with Donald Trump.

I like Megyn Kelly. She’s fearless and always maintains her composure. Through trials and difficult challenges, she remains one of the most respected journalists on television.

Her book takes us behind the scenes of the stories that brought her to where she is today. She speaks about her decision to “settle for more” – a motto that she credits as having transformed her life at home and at work.

Ms. Kelly discusses how she left behind a lucrative career in law to follow her dream of being in the news business.  Megyn also opens up about challenges she has faced as a professional woman, working mother and her approach to gender issues in the workplace.

She gives honest insight into her life that is inspiring to women. Megyn Kelly is an example of intelligence, strength, and common sense. As women, we can rely on these qualities to get us through whatever comes our way.
