Dance, dance, dance! Another season of Dancing with the Stars is about to begin. That means… new competitors! ABC’s hit show won’t return until March 17th, but lucky for us the cast has just been announced. From Olympians to former child actresses, season 18 is packed full of stars to cheer for.
Only one month after their gold-medal win at the Sochi Olympics, both… yes, BOTH Meryl Davis and Charlie White (the ice-dancing duo) will compete this season.
Former child stars Danica McKellar (from The Wonder Years) and Candace Cameron Bure (from Full House) are a part of this season’s cast, too. Ah — Winnie Cooper and DJ Tanner on the same TV screen… we can’t wait!
Other TV star contestants include “Real Housewives” star NeNe Leakes, comedian-turned-game-show host Drew Carey and ex-Nickelodeon hottie James Maslow (he sings and acts — swoon). Australian pop singer Cody Simpson, swimming legend Diana Nyad and former hockey player Sean Avery will all be competing for the coveted mirrorball trophy as well.
To round out season 18’s cast we have actor Billy Dee Williams and double-amputee snowboarding champion Amy Purdy (she is the first Paralympian EVER on the show). In other Dancing news, Erin Andrews (the well-known sports caster) will replace Brooke Burke-Charvet as this season’s host. With all this talent, it’s anyone’s game this season. It all starts in two weeks!
