Pre-Christmas Kettlebell Workout

Hey HerDaily, Lia here. I’m going to show you 3 simple moves with a kettlebell for a total body workout you can do to get ready for all those yummy Christmas dishes, and desserts!

You can use different weights to target various trouble zones, or simply add weight as you progress in your fitness journey. Follow along, and let’s tone up together!

  1. Center Squat: Stand up straight with your feet shoulder width apart, bring the kettlebell to the center of your body. Pull your shoulders back, keeping your chest lifted. Slowly lower into a “seating” position, and lift back up. Keep your hips neutral and your spin long as you squat. Inhale as you lower, exhale as you go up. Do 15-20 reps, for 3-4 sets overall.
  2. Stationed Leg Lunge: Legs should be one-leg distance apart. Stabilize your hips, and drop to a lunge, bending your knees, with the kettlebell dropping at your side. Inhale as you lower, and exhale as you rise. Do 6-8 reps on each side, for 3-4 sets.
  3. Deadlifts: This move is all about the booty! Bend at your knees, keeping your chest lifted and abs tight the whole time. Do 15-20 reps, for 3-4 sets.
