Fit Friday w/Lia: Sexy Dancer Abs

Are you tired of doing hundreds of sit ups and not seeing any results? Try these three super easy, but effective sexy dancer abs exercises and get some results!

1. Standing Sexy Dancer Abs – Side Squeeze: Start with feet in a turned out toe position. Bring the arms up and over head. Keep arms leveled with your shoulder blades. Lift the chest as you bring the arms in, to a bent elbow position. Make sure to keep arms in line with the rib cage, and really draw down from the side of your body to the hip. Alternate from side to side, eight times. Make sure to take your time. Breath deeply every time you come up through center. As you pull your elbow, down squeeze your abs and exhale.

2. Standing Sexy Dancer abs – Pulses: Start with feet in a turned out toe position. Bring the arms up and over head. Keep arms leveled with the shoulder blades. Lift the chest as you bring your arms in, to a bent elbow position. Make sure to keep the arms in line with the rib cage, and really draw down from the side of your body to the hip. Hold that pull down on one side, and repeat in small tiny pulses. Make sure to exhale on every pulse. This is a great way to define that waist line. Repeat eight times on one side, and repeat on the other side.

3. Sexy Dancer Abs – Side Twists: Start with feet in a turned out toe position. Bring arms up and over head. Keep the arms leveled with the shoulder blades. Lift the chest as you bring the arms in, to a bent elbow position. Make sure to keep the arms in line with the rib cage and reach out to the sides of the room, creating the letter “T” with your arms. Now twist from one side to the next. Use your abs, legs, booty and arms to stretch, lengthen, tone, and firm all at the same time. Breath deeply and exhale on every rotation. Feel yourself getting leaner, longer, and sexier with every twist. Repeat this four-eight times.

Try each exercise above eight times and repeat two-three times within one workout. Aim to do this Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! Let me know how it goes!
