Jennifer Lopez Diet Keeps Her Young

The amazing Jennifer Lopez is so energetic; but we have to ask, “How does Jennifer Lopez diet keep her looking so young?”

Jennifer Lopez seems flawless from head to toe at all times. She has come a long way since dancing on “Living Color” as a fly girl and a back-up dancer for Janet Jackson. After starring as the lead in the movie of Selena, she won an ALMA Award and a Golden Globe nomination and Jennifer was on the map!

The multi-talented star and mom of two has produced seven hit albums, starred in many movies, is a business woman and an American Idol judge. Whew, I am tired already!  It might be her disciplined diet that keeps her fit and energetic. She doesn’t even drink caffeine or alcohol!   Jennifer had this to share:

“I’m rarely in the sun, but if I am, I wear a lot of sunscreen. I’ve never been one to take a lot of sun, which is why my skin has maintained itself. And I don’t drink or smoke or have caffeine. That really wrecks your skin as you get older.”

No wonder her skin looks so young!  Jennifer revealed that she starts off with a 90-calorie chocolate Body Lab Shake “I do it with quinoa milk or water.”  She went on to say:

“By lunchtime, I’m starving.”

I think I would be starving at breakfast too!  For lunch she does change it up a bit, but typically has salmon with a salad.  Her favorite salads include broccoli, zucchini, peppers and just a drizzle of vinaigrette.

For dinner she likes to eat with her kids if she can around 6:30. It usually consists of a protein and Quinoa.  We have seen Jennifer dance and command the stage when she performs. The energetic performer has two trainers that help to keep her in shape. One in New York and one in LA. She exercises in the morning to get it over with.

Depending which trainer she is with Jenny does planks, push ups, boxing and 3-pound arm weights with butt and thigh moves that incorporate the core.  She is one driven lady. The American Idol judge likes 10 hours of sleep, but does her best to get at least 7 to 8 hours to keep from getting emotional and feeling tired all the time. In her bio Jennifer has these special quotes:

“Beauty is only skin deep. I think what’s really important is finding a balance of mind, body and spirit.”

I so agree. I wish more people felt that way.

“I was always very comfortable with who I was; confident. I’ve never looked at [my body] in a negative way.”

I feel that if we are confident, others see it.

“You’ve gotta do things that make you happy. As women, we tend to give away a lot. We take care of a lot of people, and we can’t forget to take care of ourselves.”

I am so guilty of this as I am certain many of you are too. We have to remember to make some time for ourselves.
