A Christmas Gift That Will Stand Out

christmas gift

Have you run out of gift ideas for your other half? Christmas is fast approaching and there is pressure to beat last year’s present…

Here is an idea which might put the creativity back into Christmas and save you from handing over a standard Christmas gift.

Why not chose the five senses as your theme? This way your loved one will have five presents to open all from you. They do not have to be that expensive either.  If you are clever about it, you could buy little things and wrap them in a way which makes them look better than they are. Opening five boxes, stockings or gift bags is more fun than opening one.

Here are some ideas for each of the senses:

Sight: Buy some cinema tickets or a voucher (easier if you have a date in mind where you are both free.  Also that way your partner can choose a film of their choice), a book (the Christmas bestseller or a non-fiction gardening, cooking or hobby book), theatre tickets, a magazine subscription.

Touch: Aftershave, perfume, soft scarf, socks, underwear or a pampering gift set with moisturizer and perfume (plenty of these sold in super drug stores).

Sound:  Gig tickets, headphones, mix tape, a radio, speakers, get creative and get your loved one a watch (that ticks – that’s a sound – it counts).

Taste: Bake some sugery delights (this will have a personal touch) or if not enough time, buy their favorite box of chocolates or liquor.

Smell: A luxury coffee, scented candle, aromatherapy oils (with a voucher for a massage – also can be used for touch).

Once you have decided what to get for each sense you can package it in a fun manner and of course, do not forget to write some cheesy notes on each of them:

‘I love you with all the my senses’

‘Taste me’

‘Touch me’

‘Smell me’

This will be a Christmas gift they will never forget. 😉
