Clueless’ fearless fashion leader (see photo above), Cher Horowitz (played by Alicia Silverstone), is the greatest ‘90’s fashion icon ever. Her style is the epitome of schoolgirl prep. We love her use of plaid and button-down shirts (especially with a short sweater vest on top). Cher rocks blazers, knee-high socks — and a killer little red dress (which sadly gets ruined when she is mugged). Plus, Cher totally knows what her most capable looking outfit is… the ruffled-white long sleeve top and light blue sweater vest, duh.

Penny Lane is the leader of Almost Famous’ “Band Aides” (aka groupies). She is confident, totally adorable and rocks an oversized suede jacket better than anyone. Penny (played by Kate Hudson) is the ultimate hippie. Her vintage style is made up of boho prints and lots of crop tops. Her rock star side shines through most when she wears crochet tops, flower-power embellished boots and classic tees from the era (’70’s). We could live in Penny’s vintage closet forever!

Pretty In Pink’s golden girl Andie Walsh (played by Molly Ringwald) is SO ‘80’s — and we love it. Andie might have grown up on the “poor” side of town, but her fashion is fabulous and high fashion. Her style is totally quirky, too. Andie wears tons of layers, rocks fun prints and always wears unique accessories. When she’s not making her prom dress (which is amazing), Andie is mixing and matching stylish blazers with floral prints and giant heart earrings with funky sunglasses. ‘80s fashion? Yes, please.

“Whoever said orange was the new pink, was seriously disturbed!” Wise words from Legally Blondes’ Elle Woods (played by Reese Witherspoon) — and totally true. Elle manages to take her look from sorority girl (with lots of sparkles and pink) to sophisticated Harvard law student (with cute glasses and suits) without skipping a beat. We love that Elle never shies away from incorporating pink into any ensemble. Even when she’s in court, Elle wears a super-chic pink dress. When she’s not in pink, she rocks cute tank tops and distressed jeans — all of which we would wear in a heartbeat.

Welcome to the ‘50’s! Sandy Olsen (played by Olivia Newton-John) who looks fabulous no matter what she wears. From giant poodle skirts and cheerleading sweaters to tight leather pants and red high heels — Grease’s Sandy is perfect. We love how her over-the-shoulder sweaters always match her skirt color — and her sweet and girly half-up, half-down hairstyle is adorable, too. And who wouldn’t want to try on her skin-tight leather pants and win Danny Zucko’s heart?
Can we live in these movie character’s closets forever? Which closet would you raid first?
